In my portfolio, I present a lighting design project for a small concert scene, accomplished through the combined use of GrandMA on PC and GrandMA3D. To create captivating and professional lighting effects, I carefully selected and deployed the following fixtures:
- 75 Dimmers, each with 1 channel: These dimmers were used to control the intensity of traditional lighting, allowing me to finely adjust the overall brightness within the venue, thereby creating various atmospheric effects. They are key components in building the foundation of the lighting design.
- 150 SSharpVLs, each with 48 channels: These high-end moving head lights, with multi-channel control, enabled me to create dynamic and complex lighting effects. With these fixtures, I achieved precise beam positioning, color changes, pattern shifts, etc., enhancing the visual impact of the performance.
- 71 Robe Alpha Spot HPE 1500Vs, each with 44 channels: Known for their high-output performance and versatility, I used these fixtures for specific spot and pattern effects. Their multi-channel features allowed me to adjust colors, shapes, beam shapes, etc., adding layers and depth to the scenes.
- 110 ARCS 4M LED ARCS, each with 12 channels: These LED arc lights are known for their soft and uniform light output. I used them to fill backgrounds or as the primary source of atmospheric lighting. Their design is suitable for creating broad and continuous bands of light, providing an immersive viewing experience for the audience.
With these carefully chosen fixtures and advanced control technology, I designed a light show that interplays light and shadow, rich in color, and full of dynamism. With the help of GrandMA on PC, I was able to achieve precise lighting programming and timing control, while GrandMA3D allowed me to preview and adjust my lighting design in three-dimensional space before actual deployment.
This project not only showcases my technical skills and creative thinking but also reflects my understanding and passion for creating atmospheres for live performances. I believe this lighting design project will be a highlight in my portfolio, demonstrating my professionalism and artistic sensibility as a lighting designer.
